LEAP opened in 2008 and is now an established Performing Arts School based in the village of Downley, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Our exciting, dynamic and unique school is privately owned and delivers a vast range of week-day drama classes to suit children and young adults of all ages and abilities. We also offer fun packed musical theatre classes every Saturday, both coincide with the school academic calendar.
LEAP is designed around four main principals: LEARN, ENJOY, ACHIEVE, PERFORM. Our highly trained staff believe that children learn effectively in a place where they feel secure within a framework of achievement and support. Through good practice in theatre, our facilitators will work towards a joint partnership with our pupils where knowledge, talents and skills are shared by using performance as a motivation to learn.
LEAP endeavors to introduce its pupils to the creative forms needed in the Performing Arts, placing them at the centre and allowing them to build their own bridges of understanding. Through artistic awareness and self-expression, we aim to develop their creativity, imagination and increase social awareness, fluency of speech, self-knowledge, respect, discipline, confidence and above all - enjoyment!
This Autumn, LEAP School of Performing Arts presents the classic rock horror musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead.
